Best of 2010 - #14

Can't believe it, but a very unlikely American Idol has put out a very enjoyable album. It is only eight tracks so is it an over-sized EP or an undersized album? In any case, Jason Castro, he of the laid back attitude and dread locked hair, has put out a record of unapologetic pop songs. Not the overly processed pop you hear constantly on the radio with layers of synthesizers and auto-tuned vocals. Just great songs sung with his slightly gravely voice. I'm impressed and can't wait for the next one. Two five star tracks on this one, but my favorite is That's What I'm Here For.
